Vladimir Toshchenko, the General Director of Arctic Power Capital LLC delivered a keynote speech at the “Development of Renewable Energy Sources and Low-Carbon Energy in the Far East of Russia” conference. The event was held in Yakutsk, Russia from the 29 to the 30th of September, 2022.
Within the framework of the forum’s strategic session, a discussion panel was organized to discuss the program for the modernization of the local power generation facilities adopting renewable sources of energy (RSE) and energy storage systems (ESS).
“Today, the entire Far East region but most of all, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is the development center of distributed power generation based on renewable energy sources in Russia. This is primarily due to the vast natural resources potential of this region. In most of the isolated energy districts of the Far East, the generation of solar and wind power plants is a better alternative as its more economical than the existing traditional methods of energy generation. I am pleased to highlight that Arctic Power Capital has made a significant contribution to the development of this industry. To date, we have carried out 5 construction projects of hybrid power plants in Verkhoyansk and Momsky ulus in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Our 5 hybrid power plants save more than 1,200 tons of diesel fuel annually. Such important projects for the region cannot be implemented independently.
